Parrish Art Museum and Hedley Studios Partner on Automative Experience This Summer

The outdoor presentation is on view from July 3rd – August 23rd, visitors are invited to view Hedley Studio pieces and explore the intersection of design, technology and culture

The Parrish Art Museum and Hedley Studios invite visitors to the Museum’s outdoor areas to experience the creativity, design and precision engineering from Hedley Studios. On view from July 3 through August 23, Hedley Studios brings its acclaimed classic car recreations to the Museum’s grounds as part of the Museum’s summer offering.

At the intersection of fine art and automotive excellence, Hedley Studios transcends traditional boundaries to craft limited-edition pieces that are both fully functional and rare collectables. Merging tradition with technical innovation and sculptural design, each Hedley Studios creation is a fully electric, drivable artwork produced at 66–85% scale. The studio is the only one in the world officially licensed by Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, and Ferrari to reinterpret their most legendary examples of automotive history. Parrish Museum visitors will have the rare opportunity to view three limited-edition Hedley’s up close throughout the season. The Bugatti Baby II, The Aston Martin DB5 J and The Ferrari Testa Rossa J will be showcased at the Parrish through August 23.

“At Hedley Studios, we’ve always believed that great design and craftsmanship transcend categories—whether in the form of a sculpture on a wall or a hand-built, drivable work of art,” said Ben Hedley, Founder & CEO of Hedley Studios. “Partnering with The Parrish Art Museum is a perfect alignment of values. The Parrish has this incredible ability to bring together tradition and innovation, honouring timeless craft while embracing bold, new ideas. It’s a place that truly celebrates the creative process, which makes it the perfect home for what we do. We’re proud to bring automotive excellence into dialogue with contemporary art in such an iconic setting.”

The Hedley Studios pieces arrive at the Parrish in advance of the Parrish Art Museum’s Midsummer Gala, held on Saturday, July 19, just in time for Gala guests to view the innovative automobiles at the event.

On Friday, August 8, the Museum will host a Parrish Collectors’ Talk, offering an in-depth conversation about the convergence of art, design, and automotive heritage, with Founder Ben Hedley and invited guests. “The Parrish Art Museum is thrilled to partner with Hedley Studios this summer. These extraordinary automobiles represent the kind of bold design and innovation that align beautifully with the artistic imagination we feature in our programs and exhibitions. The Parrish is a place to encounter exceptional art and design, discover new ideas, and experience creativity in all its forms, making it the perfect setting for this exciting outdoor collaboration,” said Mónica Ramírez-Montagut, Executive Director of the Parrish Art Museum.

HEDLEY STUDIOS PIECES ON VIEW AT THE PARRISH INCLUDE:
• The Bugatti Baby II is the recreation that first launched Hedley Studios in 2019. This is a 75% scale electric reincarnation of the renowned Bugatti Type 35, developed using a full 3D scan of an original 1924 French Grand Prix car. Authentic period features include a mahogany Nardi steering wheel and leather bonnet straps. Design elements from modern Bugatti creations have also been cleverly considered, including a turned aluminium dashboard, and a ‘Speed Key’, inspired by the Bugatti Chiron. There are both “Pur Sang” hand formed aluminium and “Vitesse” carbon fibre limited editions. Each one is numbered, signed and adorned with both a Bugatti chassis plate and a signature solid silver Bugatti macaron.

● The Aston Martin DB5 J is a 66% scale electric reimagining of its legendary namesake, commemorating the 1963 cabriolet of James Bond fame. It features the instantly recognizable Aston Martin ‘wings’ and Smiths instruments. The special “No Time to Die” edition celebrating the 25th James Bond film is a gadget-laden collector’s item with controls in a hidden switch panel. The gadgets include simulated gatling guns that emerge from the headlights, skid mode for quick getaways, a unique customizable digital license plate that plays James Bond theme music, and a smoke screen emitted from the rear exhaust. The “No Time to Die” version is a limited edition of only 125 pieces.

● The Ferrari Testa Rossa J is a 75% scale electric recreation of the ultra-rare 1957 pontoon-fendered Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. The multiple Le Mans winner is one of the most iconic in the history of Ferrari and motor racing. This collector’s item was developed utilizing the original design drawings in close collaboration with Ferrari Classiche in Maranello. Authenticity is its defining feature, with the same steering and suspension geometry as the 250 Testa Rossa, providing handling that parallels the original, as with the hand-rolled aluminium body that requires nearly 300 hours to create. This is Ferrari’s first scaled recreation, and a limited edition of only 299 pieces.

This summer experience continues the Parrish Art Museum’s commitment to expanding the boundaries of creative expression. Hedley Studio’s presence on the East End invites collectors, designers, and art enthusiasts alike to engage with craftsmanship in motion.

Hedley Studios will donate to the Parrish Art Museum for car sales resulting from the July 3 and August 23 installation exposure, and for sales completed by November 23, 2025.
