Frederic M. Seegal, Co-Chair of the Board

Fred is former Vice Chair of Investment Banking at Cowen, responsible for helping expand Cowen’s relationships with a particular focus on the technology, media and telecom, and consumer sectors. Prior to joining Cowen, Fred served as a Senior Advisor and Vice-Chair at PJ Solomon, where he played a key role strengthening its media, entertainment, communications, and technology practices.

Alexandra Stanton, Co-Chair of the Board

Alexandra is the CEO of Empire Global Ventures LLC. She is an attorney with a proven record of executive leadership in business development, technology, organizational development, and public-private partnerships. She has established operations in multiple foreign markets including China, India, and Turkey, raised venture and working capital for expansion and development, identified U.S. and foreign partners for joint ventures, and facilitated export promotion to and from the U.S.

Sean Cohan, Co-President of the Board

Sean is President of Bell Media where he is responsible for Bell Media’s portfolio of premier entertainment, news and information assets. Previously, Sean was Chief Growth Officer and President, International, at Nielsen, a global media measurement and data analytics company, and served as President, International and Digital Media at A+E Networks, and has also held positions at Primedia, Morgan Stanley, NBC, and A.T. Kearney.

George Wells, Co-President and Treasurer of the Board

George brings his expertise in financial strategy and his passion for art converge to support the Museum’s mission of celebrating creativity and cultural heritage in the East End of Long Island. He is a seasoned finance executive, art collector, and passionate advocate for the arts. He is the Founder and CEO of the Wells Group of New York, a strategic finance and interim CFO firm that has guided some of the most dynamic organizations in media, SaaS, consumer goods, and the nonprofit sector. Under his leadership, the Wells Group has driven transformative growth and operational excellence for over 60 companies, including executing high-profile deals such as the sale of Barstool Sports to Penn Entertainment. Beyond his professional achievements, George is deeply committed to the arts and education. His $1 million gift of contemporary art to Morehouse College in 2020 underscores his dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion in the art world. A long-time supporter of innovative and impactful cultural initiatives, George is dedicated to ensuring that art remains an accessible and transformative force in society.

Sandy Perlbinder, Vice President of the Board

Sandy, with her background in Art History, is a collector, and former film producer and director at her production company, and of her award-winning short film “Home” that screened at Sundance. With her varied board experience over the years at The LearningSpring School for children on the autism spectrum, Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, and Pollock-Krasner House Advisory Council, Sandy was elected to the Parrish Board of Trustees in 2015. She continues to serve as Vice President. Sandy and her husband Stephen Perlbinder brought their young family to Sagaponack in 1970 and settled on farmland near the Atlantic where they built their dream house, designed by rising “starchitect” Norman Jaffe. The house was built by Steve along with two master carpenters. Sandy and Steve’s commitment and support grew with the former Parrish’s Norman Jaffe show in 2005 and really took off when plans for the new building finally became a reality in 2012.

Martha (Marty) McLanahan, Secretary of the Board

Marty is a former Board member of the Children’s Aid Society in New York, and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. She is currently President of The Lincoln Fund. The hallmark of her 15 years of dedicated service to the Parrish was the guidance and energy she brought to the Landscape Pleasures committee, which she co-chaired since 2010. Marty is a tireless ambassador for the Museum, helping to secure philanthropy for programs and the capital campaign.

Steven J. Horowitz, Executive Committee Member

Steven is an attorney and principal of the Law Firm of David Horowitz, P.C., a boutique litigation Firm based in Manhattan founded by his father. He has more than 20 years of litigation experience garnered across a wide variety of matters. As Managing Attorney, he oversees a Real Estate portfolio comprised of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties in New York City. Steven is a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Birch Wathen Lenox School, New York City, and a former Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Sutton Place Synagogue in New York City.

Henry Richardson, Executive Committee Member

Henry is a sculptor. The inspiration for his work comes from his belief that societies which inspire, and welcome individual acts of grace become more considerate, more kind, more tolerant, and more open. Physically, the work is a composition of thousands of fractured pieces of glass bonded together, a metaphor for a better world. It seems to glow from within, possessing its own inner light. Henry’s work represents the hope that our collective acts of grace will ultimately, like these shattered fragments of glass, contribute to a better world: a sparkling, crystalline whole.

Ejim Peter Achi

A New York corporate lawyer who was born in Nigeria and immigrated to the United States as an early teenager, Ejim is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Private Equity Practice, Co-Managing Shareholder of the firm’s New York office, and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. He represents private equity sponsors in connection with mergers and acquisitions spanning a wide range of industries and sectors. Ejim holds an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves on the boards of the Center for Urban Community Services and The Caedmon School. He is a member of the Economic Club of New York. Ejim is married to Andrea Achi, the Mary and Michael Jaharis Associate Curator for Byzantine Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. They reside in New York City and maintain a home in Weston, Connecticut.

Nina Sarin Arias

Nina founded ARIAS New York, an independent womenswear brand in 2017. She has previously worked at Cartier and Burberry, where her fashion industry experiences, combined with her business background inspired her to launch her eponymous label. As an art enthusiast and collector, she often frequents the galleries in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood and attends art shows and fairs, looking for inspiration for her upcoming collections. Citing contemporary art as the main inspiration for her work, she believes in merging her love for the worlds of fashion and art, creating pieces that become the foundation of a woman’s wardrobe and serve as an interesting talking point.

Ruchira Bhuyan

Ruchira brings extensive experience in strategy, communications, and fundraising, developed through a career spanning the public and private sectors, as well as significant involvement with nonprofit institutions. Ruchira previously worked for the Canadian Consulate General in New York, where she specialized in communications and public affairs, before transitioning to retail media and communication roles at Amazon and Walmart. Currently, Ruchira serves as a Board Member for The International Preschools (IPS) in New York and leads Annual and Campaign Giving initiatives at The Collegiate School. She also serves on the Family Benefit and Leadership Committees at the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Additionally, Ruchira is a Committee Member for Children’s Hope India, a nonprofit organization focused on building schools in rural areas of India for underprivileged children. Together with her husband, she has introduced AI-driven tutors to address teacher shortages and personalized the curriculum for a girls’ school with over 650 students.

Catherine Gillis Carmody

Catherine is a retired trial lawyer and active screenwriter/film producer. Raised in west Texas, she found her way to tumbleweed-free New York City and parts beyond. With multiple degrees and Spanish fluency, she is devoted to the arts and social justice. Catherine serves on the Boards of Interfaith Alliance in Washington D.C. and Harvard Divinity School Film Festival. She also supports numerous philanthropies, including the Sunflower Freedom Project whose mission is to stem the tide of illiteracy and empower the children of the Mississippi Delta and Ment’or, a nonprofit devoted to inspiring excellence in young culinary professionals. Catherine has several feature films in the making and is honored to be aligned with the Oscar-winning “Navalny” team on the current documentary project “Hollywoodgate”.

Marty Cordes

Marty is the Co-Founder of the Cordes Foundation, which she established with her husband, Ron, in 2006 to advance social entrepreneurship and gender-lens investing. As a champion for women’s empowerment, Marty leads the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts to create economic opportunities for women globally. Previously, Marty built a successful career in banking and held leadership roles with social service organizations in the San Francisco Bay area. Her prior board affiliations include Nest, Freedom from Hunger, and Grameen PrimaCare, where she worked to address global poverty and advance women’s rights. Outside of her professional and volunteer endeavors, Marty enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her young grandson, with whom she is very active. Marty splits her time between New York City and Bridgehampton, drawing inspiration from the vibrant culture and natural beauty of both locales.

Suzi Cordish

Suzi is a collector and advocate for contemporary art with over 40 years of experience building partnerships to support arts initiatives and emerging artists. She currently serves as a Trustee of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami and as a Board Member of the NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale. Previously, Suzi was a member of the Smithsonian National Board and a Trustee of the Arthur M. Sackler and Freer Gallery of Art: the National Museums of Asian Art at the Smithsonian. From 2016 to 2020, Suzi served on the Board of the Foundation for the Preservation of Government House with the First Lady of Maryland, Mrs. Yumi Hogan. Her philanthropic leadership included Maryland Art Place in Baltimore, Maryland where she raised millions to support the non-profit and served in multiple leadership roles and was Board Chair from 1999 to 2012.

Yanina Fuertes

Yanina is Founder and CEO of Poliform PR, a purveyor of exclusive kitchens, closets, and furniture for the Caribbean markets. Yanina was the pioneer in the introduction of European-Styled Design for the home in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic in 1992 and quickly expanded her reach into various luxury hotel and residential properties. Yanina has a love for art, philanthropy, and conservation. She has traveled globally with the owners of The Leiden Collection, one of the largest private collections of Rembrandts in the world. She has worked closely with Museo de Arte de Ponce, bringing its collections to museums throughout Europe, including the Tate in London and Reina Sofia in Spain.

David (Digger) Granville-Smith

Digger serves as Executive Vice President of Madison Square Garden Sports, Sphere Entertainment Co., and AMC Networks. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of A&E Television Networks, LLC (“A+E Networks”), a global media and entertainment brand portfolio, from December 2016 to June 2023, and as A+E Networks’ Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from July 2014 to December 2016.

Lisa Green

Lisa is Chief of Staff at Lead Edge Capital, a growth equity investment fund based in New York City and Santa Barbara, making software, internet, consumer, and tech-enabled services investments globally. Lead Edge leverages an investor base of over 500 strategic individuals to help companies, connecting customers, partners, talent, and advisors to accelerate success. Lead Edge invests $10 million to $200 million across private and public technology companies. Prior to joining Lead Edge in 2011, Lisa worked at Anderson Green Events, Tiedemann Investment Group, and managed Investor Relations at Sotheby’s Auction House. Lisa also serves on the Board of the Great Beginnings Montessori School. She is a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Board of the College of Arts & Sciences at Boston University and is also a member of The W at Williams College. Lisa received a B.A. in Art History from Boston University.

Notoya Green

Notoya is a lawyer, columnist for Manhattan Family, parenting expert/contributor for NBC Connecticut, writer at Essence magazine, author at Healthy Mom & Baby, was on the reality show My Fab 40th, and maintains a blog, Triplets in Tribeca, and is the mother of triplets. Her husband Fred Mwangaguhunga is the founder of MediaTakeOut, the leading Black celebrity gossip site, and Notoya is Deputy Editor at MediaTakeOut.com.

Astrid Hill Lloyd

Astrid is the President and Founder of Monticule Art Advisory, a comprehensive art advisory firm based in New York City that specializes in connecting collectors with works by living artists, leveraging her established long-term relationships. She also holds the position of Vice President and Curator of Emerging Artists at the Hill Art Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Chelsea, New York City. The Hill Art Foundation features a public exhibition and education space that hosts rotating exhibitions and ongoing arts education programs. Opened in 2019, the Foundation operates in a custom-built 7,700-square-foot venue and is free and open to the public. Additionally, Astrid is a member of the Education Committee at the Guggenheim Museum and a founding member of the Vanguard Council at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Harvanit Gahunia (Vinnie Kumar), MD

Dr. Harvanit Gahunia, known as Vinnie Kumar, is a psychiatrist specializing in pediatric, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. In 2018, she established the Rohit and Harvanit Kumar Conference on Early Childhood Development at the University of Chicago, focusing on parental influence on childhood development and exploring new interventions to support parents. Vinnie is a Board member of New 42, a performing arts non-profit behind New 42 Studios and the New Victory Theater, which promotes youth empowerment through the arts. Her professional and philanthropic work is dedicated to improving outcomes for underserved communities.

Louis K. Meisel

Lou is an American author, art dealer, and proponent of the Photorealist art movement, having coined the term in 1969. He is the owner of one of the earliest art galleries in SoHo at 141 Prince Street. In addition to Photorealism, Lou is responsible for the resurgence of interest in the sub-set of American illustration identified as “Pin-up,” and is the largest collector of original art of both genres. Lou promotes classical music artists, is on the boards of Pro Music and Concert Artists Guild and hosts classical music salon concerts at his Gallery and curates Salon Series concerts at the Parrish.

Laurence Milstein

Laurence is the co-founder of PRZM, an award-winning next-gen communications agency with a community of more than 1,000 Gen Z and Gen Alpha members across 20 countries. He helped the American Ballet Theatre become the first U.S. performing arts institution to launch on TikTok and has worked with a range of Fortune 500 brands and non-profit institutions, including Netflix, Warner Music Group, Central Park Conservancy, American Express, Sony, and Sotheby’s. Outside of PRZM, Laurence serves on the Board of amfAR: The Foundation for AIDS Research and the Yale Schwarzman Center. In 2021, he was named a Forbes “30 Under 30” honoree for Marketing & Advertising, and PRZM was named “Gen Z Agency of the Year” by the PRNet in 2024.

Andrea Pemberton

Andrea’s career began at Gagosian Gallery. Six years later, she took her experience in the blue-chip art market to work with emerging artists, taking the helm at a young startup in Los Angeles called Tappan Collective. She grew the company and expanded the roster of local artists from 25 to 50 artists from 60 different countries. Later, as an advisor she expanded the roster into three new continents, signing Ugandan weaver Sanaa Gateja, LA based Umar Rashid, as well as new artists in Tokyo, Kuwait, and Spain. She felt a great sense of pride connecting unrepresented artists to an international collector base and developing a platform aimed at bringing equanimity and education to art collecting.

Charlotte Lucas Pilaro

After a long career as a sponsorship director in Formula One racing, Charlotte studied for an MA in Contemporary Art in London and then founded an Art Advisory partnership specializing in modern and contemporary art. She has held previous board roles including a senior board position at Fair Play which is an organization focused on the protection of children online. Charlotte is passionate about the arts and has held the position of Co-Chair at the Midsummer Gala in 2024 and 2025 and will reprise this role in 2026.

Kimberley Taylor

Kimberley is a luxury real estate specialist with The Corcoran Group. While serving clients across the East End of Long Island she also serves clientele throughout the country, in the Caribbean, and internationally. Known for her market expertise and dedication to exceptional client service, she has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor specifically in the Hamptons real estate community. Kimberley balances her professional pursuits with a passion for the East End’s vibrant arts and cultural scene, aligning her interests with the Parrish’s mission to foster creativity and cultural engagement.

Marlies Verhoeven

Marlies is Co-Founder and CEO of The Cultivist, a global arts club providing access to museums and exclusive cultural experiences. Before this, she served as Vice President and Global Director of Loyalty Marketing at Sotheby’s, where she co-launched the Sotheby’s Preferred program. Marlies began her career at the Belgian Mission to the United Nations and later co-founded the fashion brand Verlaine. Originally from Belgium, she now lives in New York with her husband and three children and serves on the Board of Art Production Fund, furthering her dedication to arts advocacy.

Elizabeth Zeckendorf

Elizabeth is an associate in the private equity group at Ropes & Gray. Elizabeth represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and equity investments, as well as general corporate and governance matters. Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Elizabeth served as a special advisor in the U.S. Senate. Elizabeth participates in several philanthropic efforts, including the Parrish.
