Visual Conversation

Participate in a Visual Conversation

Collaborate with your fellow local creatives in a Visual Conversation. Open to Adults and Teens (age 15 and older).

This five week collaboration is in-progress.

Sunday, February 21 to Sunday, March 28.

Details:

This Visual Conversation will take place on 9 x 12 inch gessoed boards. As a participant, you will each start with a plain gessoed board to paint, draw, add to with whatever materials you want. You will then return this board the following Sunday and receive one that a fellow collaborator has already started. This collaboration will take place over 5 weeks.

*Recommended for people who live in or near Water Mill, NY.

We will meet outside the Museum entrance to distribute materials on Sunday February 21 at 3:30pm.

All artworks must be “Dropped Off” at the museum no later than 1pm the following Sunday in order to be documented and labeled for redistribution.

All artworks will be available to “Pick Up” the next day (Monday) starting at 11am.

Email Maria Elizabeth with questions, elizabethm@parrishart.org

For your convenience you may “drop off” and “pick up” whenever the museum grounds are open to the public (11am-5pm every day).

By registering for this program, you commit to participating for five consecutive weeks and consent to the documentation and distribution of images resulting from this program.

To minimize risk to participants during COVID-19, projects will be received and transferred in an outdoor bin. Participants agree to hold The Parrish Museum harmless for any loss or damage to projects that may occur during transfer. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will have 2 weeks to claim their work from the Parrish Education Department. It is understood by both parties that the projects are the property of participants and not The Parrish Art Museum. The Parrish Art Museum does not assume ownership of or custodial responsibility for any unclaimed projects.
