Community Day

On Community Day, the Parrish is open and free to the public all day. Activities are scheduled between noon and 3 pm throughout the Museum and include ongoing workshops in the lobby and studio inspired by the Student Exhibition, a special communal drum circle led by Jerome Liggon, a reading of children’s book Yayoi Kusama: From Here to Infinity by illustrator Ellen Weinstein, as well as complementary food and beverages.

DROP-IN ART ACTIVITIES:12-3 pm

Participants can create intaglio prints with Madolin Archer, construct sculptural paper forms with Virva Hennemo, and develop a collage inspired by the artist Yayoi Kusama with Ellen Weinstein 

SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES:

12:30pm: An interactive drumming workshop will be facilitated by musician Jerome Liggon 

1:30 pm: A reading of the children's book Yayoi Kusama: From Here to Infinity with illustrator Ellen Weinstein
