Join filmmaker Lana Jokel for a screening of her short film about Keith Sonnier, followed by a conversation with Jokel, Sonnier, and Alicia Longwell, Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Chief Curator, Art and Education.

Jokel’s 15 minute documentary pilot explains the process and history of artist Keith Sonnier. Filmed at two locations in the Hamptons, Sonnier and Jokel first visit a local autobody shop where Sonnier is transforming a 1950’s Oldsmobile into a mobile neon sculpture and end up in Sonnier’s Bridgehampton studio discussing how his sketches and maquettes are transformed into neon.

Friday nights are made possible, in part, by the generous support of The Corcoran Group, BNB Bank, and Sandy and Stephen Perlbinder.
