Annual Vote to Support the Parrish Art Museum

May 21, 10 am - 9 pm

Thank you for supporting the Museum’s exhibitions, education, and enrichment programs throughout the year.

As a qualified voter of the Southampton Union Free School District, we hope that you will show your support for the Parrish Art Museum by voting in the upcoming annual election to approve funding for the Museum on May 21, 2024.

PROPOSITION NO. 9: Resolved that the Board of Education shall be authorized to appropriate funds in the amount of Four Hundred Forty-Six Thousand One Hundred Eighty-Nine ($446,189) Dollars for program expenses of the Parrish Art Museum during the 2024-2025 school year; which sum is to be raised by a levy of a tax upon the taxable real property within the Southampton Union Free School District’s boundaries.

You can also vote by absentee ballot. Applications are available at Southampton Union Free School District, 425 County Road 39A, and must be received by the Office of the District Clerk no later than Monday, May 20, 2024, if delivered personally OR no later than 5 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, if delivered by mail. Your vote will help the Museum continue to:

PROVIDE free year-round admission for students, children under age 18, and residents and employees of the Southampton Union Free School District, as well as discounted admission for seniors.
PARTNER with local teachers, health and social care groups to create one-of-a-kind, stimulating, and hands-on arts programs offsite and at the Museum, such as Access Parrish and our How Artists Work initiative.
PRODUCE world-class exhibitions, scholarly research, and hundreds of public tours, concerts, talks, and film screenings annually.

How to Vote Absentee in the May 21, 2024 appropriation for the Parrish Art Museum:

  1. Applications for Absentee Ballots are available in person, via mail or email at the Office of the District Clerk of the Southampton Union Free School District, 425 County Road 39A, Southampton, NY 11968, Monday through Friday. Telephone: 631-591-4510 Email: clerk@southamptonschools.org
  2. In order for your Absentee Ballot to be counted, Absentee Ballots must be returned to the District Clerk, in person at 425 County Road 39A, Southampton or mailed to Southampton Union Free School District, 70 Leland Lane, Southampton, NY 11968, no later than Monday, May 20, 2024, if delivered personally OR no later than 5 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, if delivered by mail.

The Resident Benefit Membership is a free one-year Membership granting free admission to galleries and free enrollment to After School Art and Middle School Makers. Two adults within the same household can be on a single Resident Benefit Membership. It is designed as a gesture of appreciation to the residents and district employees of Southampton and Tuckahoe School Districts, as these districts participate in a tax levy supporting the mission and work of the Parrish Art Museum.
