Jazz en Plein Air: Hector Martignon's FOREIGN AFFAIR Quartet

Join us for the final installment of Jazz en Plein Air, the lively Friday night series of live jazz music– ranging from standards to fusion and everything in between– on the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace. Socialize, soak in the scenery, and have a glass of wine, to the sounds of the many talented musicians selected by the East End's legendary Richie Siegler, jazz musician and founding director of Escola de Samba BOOM. Make a night of it and grab dinner from the Golden Pear Café at the Parrish!

Closing the series will be an encore performance by Hector Martignon's FOREIGN AFFAIR Quartet - a favorite from Jazz en Plein Air 2013. New York based, Colombian born Hector Martignon, has composed, orchestrated, produced, performed and recorded music in a wide spectrum of genres, from classical and crossover, to jazz and world music, to rock and pop. Of his five solo CDs and two as co-leader (Mozart's Blue Fantasies and Bach's Secret Files) the latest two (Refugee, 2008, and Second Chance, 2010) were nominated for Grammy Awards.

Seating is limited and first come first served. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the live music from the terrace and the events lawn.

All Jazz en Plein Air concerts are free with Museum admission and take place rain or shine.
