Parrish Road Show: Tucker Marder
STAMPEDE
August 15, 2015 to August 31, 2015
Site: 1058 Deerfield Road, Water Mill, New York
Playfully inventive, Tucker Marder has worked in theater, puppetry, installation, and underwater performance with themes ranging from animal and human behavior to anthropomorphic trees. For Stampede, the artist choreographs an inter-species dance with over 100 Crested Indian Runner ducks that interact with geometric, human-powered puppets. This curious tango encompasses the artist’s thoughts on regional land use and historic trades like Long Island duck farming.
Parrish Road Show is made possible, in part, by the generous support of Jane Wesman and Donald Savelson; and Sandy and Stephen Perlbinder.
