Overview
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of our Herzog & de Meuron-designed building in Water Mill, join us for Architecture Trivia Night—a fun, friendly competition for participants to test their knowledge of Parrish, national, and international building design. Hosted by Maziar Behrooz, Principal, MB Architecture, the event is for novices, enthusiasts, and experts in the field, and open to teams of two to four players. Content is provided by professional architects and regional historians including Susan Horowitz, Director of Preservation Projects, Hamptons20CenturyModern, and Maziar Behrooz.
Enjoy
Gift baskets and prizes will be awarded to the runner up and winning teams ($200 and $300 value); and every participant receives a raffle ticket for a surprise giveaway.
All-you-can-eat-pub style snacks will be available with a $20 buffet ticket. Beer, wine, and beverages to purchase, provided by Elegant Affairs.
Play
Guests can participate on their own, join teams of 2-4, or simply watch the fun.
The format is five rounds of 10 questions that cover Parrish, Long Island/East End, international, modern, and general architecture history and practice, from identification of famous structures to slightly more esoteric questions for architecture cognoscenti. The scoring judge has final decision on all questions.
Watch
Prefer to enjoy from the sidelines? Individuals are welcomed to attend as spectators.
Advance ticket purchase with pre-event registration is highly recommended. Limited tickets will be available at the door. All sales are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable. This program requires proof of full vaccination. Mask-wearing is not required but recommended when not eating or drinking.
