Summer Painting en Plein Air | Session II

Session II | Fridays, July 15, 22, 29, & August 5 from 10 AM–12:30 PM

Member | $295

Non-Member | $360

Open to all, ages 15 and up. Beginner to advanced. Class tailored to all levels. Students may work in gouache or oil and are responsible for their own supplies. Supply list provided.

Class is limited to 12 students.

This summer, two four-class series of en plein air painting will be offered.  Students may join one or both series.  The first class in each will be held at the Parrish Art Museum on the terrace where we will take students through materials, processes, and class structure.  Students will explore landscape works in the galleries to discuss landscape painting and painting issues, including perspective, distance, light and shadow, color, trees, clouds, grass, etc.

All other sessions (weather permitting) will be held at specific sites: gardens, landscape, waterscapes.

NOTE: In the case of inclement weather, classes will be held at the Parrish Art Museum

 

Proof of vaccine is required for attendees ages 5 and older for all events and programs ; those age 18 and older must also provide a valid ID. A negative test result will not be accepted.
