with Andrea Cote
June 17, 2022, 10:30 am - 1 pm
$220 Non-member | $200 Member
Taking inspiration from Jasper Johns prints, we’ll explore the reductive carving process of linocut. From concept to carving techniques, our process will unfold. Students will end by printing a small edition of multiple prints. Open to all levels.
Andrea Cote is an interdisciplinary artist and printmaker. She has been creating professionally and teaching for over 25 years. She has presented her work in North and South America at venues including Guild Hall, Southampton Arts Center, Islip Art Museum, Delaware Art Museum, Abrons Arts Center, The Print Center, The Moore Gallery, and PanAmerican Art Projects. As a teaching artist she aims to inspire students to develop their own voice through experimentation, while providing a foundation of technique and artistic vocabulary. She aims to make printmaking accessible to everyone, at all levels, on the East End.
Proof of vaccine is required for attendees ages 5 and older for all events and programs at the Lichtenstein Theater, café, & Studio; those age 18 and older must also provide a valid ID. A negative test result will not be accepted.
