Summer Jazz on the Terrace returns this July through September 2024! In collaboration with Hamptons JazzFest, Jazz at Lincoln Center presents four thrilling concerts this summer at the Parrish’s expansive campus, bringing world-class jazz performances and artists to the East End. The concerts will be held on the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace and Event Lawn. Guests are strongly encouraged to bring outdoor chairs and blankets as no Museum seating is provided. Outdoor coolers and outside food are prohibited; food and beverages are available to purchase at the Parrish Café.

Kicking off the concert series on Friday July 5th — is a performance by the Summer Camargo Quintet. “[Camargo] is one of the newest members of the Saturday Night Live Band, she has performed at major festivals and venues as a leader and an increasingly sought collaborator. She approaches original repertoire and classic tunes with a sense of lyricism and a swinging disposition. Don’t miss a thrilling evening of new music with a dynamic emerging leader.” – Jazz at Lincoln Center/Dizzy’s Club

Steadily collecting a list competition wins, grants, and awards, Camargo was awarded the Ella Fitzgerald Outstanding Soloist Award, the Dr. J. Douglas White Student Composition Contest, the International Trumpet Guild’s Ryan Anthony Trumpet Memorial Competition, and the Outstanding Trumpet Soloist Awards at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 2017, 2018, and 2019 Essentially Ellington Festivals—to name a few. Since then, she has toured with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra on the Big Band Holidays Tour, performed with Jon Batiste at the Newport Jazz Festival, was a guest artist at “Wynton at 60,” participated in Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead at the Kennedy Center, performed her original composition “Alazoo” at the 2022 Jazz at Lincoln Center Gala, played in the Broadway pit for Disney’s Aladdin, and much more. Camargo has now released her debut album with Blue Engine Records in March 2024, coming full circle on the first phase of a promising career.

Note: In the event of severely inclement weather, ticket holders will be notified as soon as possible. Please be advised that outside food is not permitted in the Museum or on the Terrace/Event Lawn; food, beverages, and cocktails are available for purchase in the Parrish Café.
