Field of Dreams Holiday Walking Tour and Seasonal Refreshments
December 18, 2020, 3 pm - 4:30 pm
Kick off the holidays with a socially distanced docent led walking tour through the Field of Dreams and meet the 2020 Parrish Road Show artist Scott Bluedorn, who will be onsite to give tours of his work. Space is limited, advance registration required. Masks are required to be worn throughout the tour.
Docents will guide guests through the inaugural sculpture exhibition that features a new installation created for the Museum by interdisciplinary artist Theaster Gates, a suite of four new sculptures by Jaume Plensa, and new works by Parrish collection artist Jim Dine. In addition, participants will get the opportunity to meet and chat with Scott Bluedorn, who created the Bonac Blind, a floating, mostly handmade dwelling constructed from a repurposed duck blind structure that is now on view in the Entry Meadow. Afterwards, guests are invited to enjoy some good cheer on the covered terrace with festive treats including hot cider, mulled wine, and holiday cookies. This event is rain or shine.
Advance ticket purchase with pre-event registration is required.
All tickets are sold pre-event and online only. No sales at the door. All sales are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable.
You must wear a mask throughout the entire program.
Restrooms will be open during the event. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available. The Parrish is being regularly disinfected for the safety of our staff and visitors.
