Business Member Meet-Up

Meet the Business Council members, network with other members, take a docent-led mini-tour of the current exhibitions, and hear about upcoming workshops and speaking events for business professionals.

Enjoy drink specials from the Museum Café and stick around for the outdoor jazz concert. Concert cost for Business Members is $5. You must register for each event separately. Register for Jazz here.

Docent: James Allman

Jim is a full-time resident of the East End after having retired from a career in consumer marketing and brand communications with several large global agencies. He lived 16 years in Italy and he credits that period with making him appreciate art of wildly different periods. During those years Jim was a member of the Peggy Guggenheim Foundation’s Board of Advisors. Jim keeps busy by studying art history at Cambridge (UK) and nearby at Stony Brook University Graduate School.

About Elegant People Fusion Explosion | 6 to 7 PM

Elegant People Fusion Explosion features Eric Schugren, saxophone, Randolph Hudson, bass, Fred Gilde, keyboard, and Claes Brondal, drums and combines jazz harmonies and improvisation with funky grooves and Latin and rock rhythms, creating what became known as fusion music. Drawing influence from Weather Report, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, John Abercrombie among others, the group was founded in 2020 to celebrate the fusion music of the 1970s and 1980s, while also bringing this timeless music to a new audience

 

This event is planned and sponsored by the Parrish Business Council, a volunteer committee of East End professionals serving culturally engaged business leaders and organizations by providing programming and networking opportunities for Parrish Business Members. Current Councilpersons:
