Jazz on the Terrace: Richie Siegler's Quintet

Photo: Hazel Hutchins

This summer’s jazz series has focused on groups lead by drummer’s and on Friday, August 17, Richie Siegler, The Parrish’s  jazz curator,  brings his quintet to the Museum. Like many jazz drummer’s, Siegler has been a fan of the Jazz Messengers, lead by the late drummer Art Blakey, and will highlight many tunes that they recorded. You can also expect to hear Brazilian jazz standards that Siegler enjoys, as the founder of Escola de Samba BOOM.

The Golden Pear Cafe will be selling food and drink specials, so come
socialize, soak in the scenery, and listen to the sounds of summer.

Table Seating is reserved for Golden Pear Cafe patrons so guests are
encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the live
music from the terrace and the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley
Foundation Event Lawn.

All summer concerts are free with Museum admission and take place rain or shine.

Friday Nights are made possible, in part, by the generous support of
The Corcoran Group, BNB Bank, and Sandy and Stephen Perlbinder.
