Jazz on the Terrace: Eliot Zigmund

Left to Right: David Kingsnorth, bass; Matt Garrison, saxophone; Eliot Zigmund, drummer/leader; Allen Farnham, piano

Bring chairs and blankets to watch the sunset, enjoy café specials, and listen to Eliot Zigmund, who kicks off our summer Jazz series, curated by Richard Siegler.

Zigmund has been featured at top New York jazz clubs for decades and praised for his "feather touch response" (Jazziz) and "fluid, relaxed urgency" (Musician). Renowned among jazz enthusiasts as the drummer who backed up innovators like Chet Baker, Bill Evans, Stan Getz, and Michel Peturcciani, Zigmund kicks off the Parrish's Summer Jazz series, with his band, Matt Garrison, saxophone, Allen Farnham, Piano, and Peter Brendel, bass.

The Golden Pear Cafe will be selling food and drink specials, so come socialize, soak in the scenery, and listen to the sounds of summer.

Table Seating is reserved for Golden Pear Cafe patrons so guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the live music from the terrace and the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Foundation Event Lawn.

All summer concerts are free with Museum admission and take place rain or shine.

Friday Nights are made possible, in part, by the generous support of The Corcoran Group, BNB Bank, and Sandy and Stephen Perlbinder.
