Communications Assistant

Full-time position supporting and assisting Director of Communications.

Responsibilities: Create/send eblasts through Museum’s data base; maintain and update website; plan and execute social media strategies (FB, IG, IG Stories, Twitter); ad design, production (traditional/digital), and scheduling; maintain digital photo files and media coverage; create press kits; submit event listings; other design and admin duties. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Two years’ experience preferred; Excellent organization and communication skills; proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, HTML, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Microsoft Excel/Outlook, Dropbox, WeTransfer, and database work. Attention to detail, plus ability to multi-task, manage long- and short term deadlines, and collaborate with departments and vendors a must.

Student Exhibition Intern, January/February 2019

Work with the education department to plan and mount the Parrish’s annual student exhibition.

The Parrish Art Museum has a variety of internship opportunities for both current graduate and undergraduate students seeking practical experience in various aspects of museum studies during throughout the year. Internship positions are awarded at the discretion of the Museum based on the qualification of the applicant and availability of appropriate staff supervision. Internships build your resume and demonstrate to employers your ability to commit to and gain real-world knowledge of your field. Candidates must currently be enrolled full-time in college, or have graduated just prior to the beginning of the internship.
