Dia Art Foundation and the Parrish host a conversation with Dia Director Jessica Morgan, painter Laura Owens, and Parrish collection artist Mary Heilmann, whose exhibition, Painting Pictures, is on view at Dia's Dan Flavin Art Institute, Bridgehampton.

Internationally acclaimed artist Mary Heilmann arrived in New York in the late 1960s, and was energized by the artists occupying the Minimal and Postminimal art scene. In the early 1970s she began creating art that harnessed everyday domestic objects, repurposing them with a boldly hand-painted touch.

Laura Owens is best known for her image-scale paintings that combine a variety of art historical references and painterly techniques. In 2013, she turned her studio work space into an exhibition space called 356 Mission, in collaboration with art dealer Gavin Brown.

Space is limited; advance reservations are strongly encouraged.
