Salon Series: Solomon Eichner with Tanya Gabrielian

Salon Series offers intimate concerts with a new generation of classical musicians.  Week two welcomes pianist Soloman Eichner with special guest Tanya Gabrielian.

Equally at home with solo, chamber and concerto performances, Solomon Eichner has established himself as an exciting versatile young artist. Solomon is known for his commanding performances of the romantic keyboard repertoire including Liszt, Chopin, Brahms, Prokofiev, and Rachmaninoff. 

He has participated in and received awards from several prestigious competitions such as the 2015 Coeur d’Alene Symphony Young Artist Competition in Spokane, Washington and the 2014 Chopin Kosciuszko Competition in NYC, as well as the Byrd Competition in Flint, Michigan. He won First Prize at the 2013 South Carolina State MTNA Young Artist Competition in Greenville, SC, Second Prize at the 2013 Liszt-Garrison International Piano Competition, and Second Prize and Chinese Award in the 2013 International Young Artists Competition at Catholic University in Washington, D.C 

Solomon graduated with his Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music studying with Arkady Aronov, and Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory having studied with Alexander Shtarkman. Originally from Baltimore, Solomon studied privately in Maryland with Virginia Reinecke, Reynaldo Reyes, and Irene Kreymer. 

Currently, Solomon is in his final year of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of South Carolina as a full-scholarship recipient and holds a Graduate Assistantship in accompanying.
