All sales are final\, non-transferable\, and non-refundable. \nBios: \nDale Novick\, Dale Novick\, Ltd.\, Southampton \nDale Novick is an American fine jewelry designer based in New York and Los Angeles. With a degree in art history from Cornell University\, she took her knowledge of fine and decorative arts coupled with her art education at Sotheby’s Institute in London\, to create Dale Novick Ltd. \nFollowing years living and working in the arts in Europe\, Dale moved to Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil. Almost immediately after the birth of her business\, Town and Country Magazine published a piece on her work\, and her brand and business were truly ablaze. She has received repeated coverage in high fashion magazines including InStyle\, Vogue\, Cosmopolitan\, and Vanity Fair. Her all-inclusive work reflects a respect for clean\, organic\, architectural\, and colorful pieces\, to be incorporated in the lives of busy executives or Fashionistas. Dale’s pieces have been embraced by the worlds of fashion\, art\, film\, and television and have sold at Ralph Lauren\, Bergdorf Goodman\, Saks Fifth Avenue\, Moda Operandi\, Serenella\, Grayson De Vere\, and others. \nPeter Sabbeth\, Partner\, Oza Sabbeth Architects\, Bridgehampton \nPeter was a fine art painter in the mid 90’s when he first started designing and building loft spaces in Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood. In 2008\, Peter moved east and founded Modern Green Home\, where he helped transform the “traditional” Hamptons building industry through dozens of modern\, sustainable projects. In 2014\, Peter met Nilay\, and their common passion for both design and construction led to a fast friendship and ultimately partnership in 2015 \nPeter is a graduate of Tufts University\, a 9-year member of the US Green Building Council\, Skateboard Designer\, trans-oceanic sailor\, tea crafter\, and father of two boys. He lives in Sag Harbor. \nAmy Cherry-Abitbol\, Founder and CEO\, Shou Sugi Ban House\, Watermill \nAmy Cherry-Abitbol is the creative force behind Shou Sugi Ban House\, the first boutique wellness destination in the Hamptons\, blending global wellness philosophies with state-of-the-art practices in an environment that embodies quiet luxury. Following a successful career as an attorney at firms in the U.S. and Japan\, Amy attended Harvard Business School’s “New Paths” program for women seeking to explore new opportunities\, which was the catalyst for her inspired transition to combine her interests in health\, wellness and design and create Shou Sugi Ban House. Chiffert\, Chiffert Architectural Engineering and Construction Services\, Southampton \nMarc A Chiffert\, was born in France\, grew up in Brazil\, went to school in Canada and moved to the US in 1983.  Marc grew up in an art family\, where his mother was an international art dealer specializing in French and Israeli contemporary art\, and later Brazilian art too.   Marc’s mother had a gallery in Fairfield County\, Gallerie Vendome for 20 years.  By Profession\, Marc is an NYS licensed engineer with a professional architectural engineering practice in Southampton.  Marc is also the Co-Chairperson of the Southampton Village Planning Commission and a member of the Town of Southampton Licensing Review Board.  Marc sits on various boards\, including the Friends of McGill University. \nSylvia Wong\, Owner\, The Roundtree\, Amagansett  \nSylvia Wong is the owner of The Roundtree\, a Small Luxury Hotel property that opened in Amagansett in 2020.  After a decades long career as a corporate attorney\, first at Paul\, Weiss\, Rifkind\, Wharton & Garrison\, a New York City law firm\, and then at IBM’s Armonk and Asia offices\, she joined the Board of Directors of WTI\, Inc.\, a private investment firm\, in 2015 and has been working closely with it to identify\, evaluate and negotiate real estate investments. \nHer love for traveling and the wonderful memories she collected from those travels inspired her to open The Roundtree. DESCRIPTION:$5 Members\, Students | $10 Seniors\, Member’s Guest | $16 Adults (nonmember) \nREGISTER\n  \nJoin us for a conversation with artists Mel Kendrick and Carroll Dunham\, in conjunction with the solo exhibition\, Mel Kendrick: Seeing Things in Things\, currently on view through February 19\, 2023. Kendrick and Dunham\, longtime friends and both former studio assistants to Dorothea Rockburne\, will explore their respective careers as artists and approach to artmaking. \nCarroll Dunham (b. 1949\, New Haven\, CT) is a contemporary American painter\, whose career has encompassed elements of Abstract Expressionism\, Surrealism and Neo-expressionism\, moving from abstraction to figuration. Dunham has held global solo exhibitions at Museum Ludwig\, Cologne\, Millesgården\, Stockholm; and Drammens Museum\, Drammen\, Norway\, followed by a mid-career retrospective was held at the New Museum of Contemporary Art\, New York. Dunham’s work is held in numerous esteemed collections including the Art Institute of Chicago\, Brooklyn Museum\, Museum of Modern Art\, Museum of Contemporary Art\, Los Angeles\, Philadelphia Museum of Art\, Walker Art Center\, and Whitney Museum of American Art\, among others. \n\n\nMel Kendrick: Seeing Things in Things was organized by the Addison Gallery of American Art\, Phillips Academy\, Andover\, Massachusetts and curated by Allison Kemmerer\, The Mary Stripp and R. Crosby Kemper Director. The presentation at the Parrish Art Museum is organized by Corinne Erni\, Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs and Senior Curator of ArtsReach and Special Projects\, with additional support from Kaitlin Halloran\, Curatorial Assistant and Publications Coordinator and Brianna L.
