SUMMARY:Annual Vote to Support the Parrish Art Museum
DESCRIPTION:Thank you for supporting the Museum’s education and enrichment programs throughout the year.\nAs a qualified voter of the Southampton Union Free School District\, please show your support for the Parrish Art Museum and vote in the annual election to approve funding for the Museum. \nPROPOSITION NO. 1: Resolved that the Board of Education shall be authorized to appropriate funds in the amount of Three Hundred Sixty Seven Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Eight ($367\,278) Dollars for program expenses of the Parrish Art Museum during the 2019-2020 school year; which sum is to be raised by a levy of a tax upon the taxable real property within the Southampton Union Free School District’s boundaries. \nPLEASE COME OUT AND VOTE ON JUNE 1st 10am – 5pm\nYou can also vote by absentee ballot. Applications are available at Southampton Union Free School District\, 425 County Road 39A and must be received by the Office of the District Clerk no later than 3 pm on Friday\, May 31. See more information below. \nBy showing your support you help the Museum:\nPROVIDE year-round free admission for students\, children under age 18\, and residents and employees of the Southampton Union Free School District\, as well as discounted admission for seniors\nPARTNER with local teachers\, health and social care groups to create one-of-a-kind\, stimulating\, and hands-on arts programs offsite and at the Museum\nPRODUCE world-class exhibitions\, scholarly research\, and hundreds of public tours\, concerts\, talks\, and film screenings \nA public information meeting regarding the vote will be held at the Museum on Saturday\, May 11\, 2019 from 10 am to 11 pm. \nQuestions?
