DESCRIPTION:$25 | $15 Members\, Students\, and Children \nORDER TICKETS \n  \nJoin us for a special Salon Series concert featuring a duo of Niccolò Ronchi\, piano\, and Anastasiia Mazurok\, violin\, entitled Music That Made Us. Held in the Lichtenstein Theater\, the live performance will feature works by  Cesar Franck\, Johannes Brahms\, Sergei Rachmaninoff\, and Claude Debussy\, among others. Mazurok will play on the 1745 Carcassi violin\, generously loaned for this performance by Lucas Wronski of Lucas Violins. \nAbout Niccolò Ronchi\nItalian pianist Niccolò Ronchi enthusiastically received by both critics and audiences for his virtuosity\, expressiveness\, and communicative interpretations\, has gained international recognition. Ronchi graduated with honors and distinction under the guidance of Prof. Isabella Lo Porto\,  with further study with leading international teachers including Franco Scala\, Head of the International Piano Academy of Imola; Vincenzo Balzani\, Milan; Leonid Margarius; and Riccardo Risaliti. Ronchi has won over 50 first prizes at international competitions. He received his diploma from the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of renowned concert pianist Meastro Benedetto Lupo. \nRonchi\, whose repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the late 20th century\, has a particular affinity for works from the Romantic period late 20th century Russian composers. He has recorded with Radio Classica\, Radio Vaticana\, Telepace\, Teletutto\, Radio Vera\, Radio Brescia Sette\, and several others. As both a soloist and with orchestras\, Ronchi’s performances are highly appreciated for their force and charisma. \n  \nAbout Anastasiia Mazurok\nDescribed as “spellbinding” by Northwest Music Scene\, Anastasiia Mazurok is an award-winning violinist\, D’Addario artist and ambassador\, GEWA official artist\, TEDx speaker\, and the Juilliard School alumnus (Rockefeller Foundation’s fellow). A native of Saint Petersburg\, Russia\, Mazurok has won top prizes at The Petersburgian Spring International Competition of the Arts\, and Georgy Sviridov International competition.  She made her concerto debut with orchestra at the age of 13 and has performed extensively throughout Russia\, the U.S.\, France\, and Austria. As a recipient of the Emerging Artists Foundation award\, Mazurok performed Mendelssohn’s E Minor Violin Concerto at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. \nMazurok graduated with honors from the Rimsky Korsakov Musical College and received her bachelor’s degree as a Garrigues award winner from Boyer College of Music\, studying under Dr. Eduard Schmieder. She received her master’s degree as the Rockefeller foundation and Irene Diamond fellow at The Juilliard School with Masao Kawasaki\, Sylvia Rosenberg\, Rohan de Silva. Mazurok has performed within the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg\, Austria\, and has had many masterclass appearances with musicians including Qian Zhou\, Sergey Kravchenko\, Takashi Shimizu\, and Aaron Rosand. She has had the opportunity to play for Anne-Sophie Mutter on the stage of Boston Symphony Hall\, and has studied extensively with Lambert Orkis\, a multi-Grammy award winner\, with whom she performed a recital in 2016. \nAdvance ticket purchase with pre-event registration is recommended. PLEASE CONTACT THE MUSEUM FOR A FULL REFUND. \nSalon Series\, the Parrish Art Museum’s classical music program featuring world-class artists\, concludes for the fall with a solo performance by Chinese pianist Wynona Wang. \nAbout Wynona Wang\nBorn in Beijing\, Wang is an active performer in China\, Europe\, and the United States. Recent North American performances include the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra\, the Meadows Symphony Orchestra of SMU Dallas\, and major festivals including PianoTexas\, Morningside Music Bridge in Calgary\, Canada\, the International Keyboard Institute & Festival in New York City\, and the Chautauqua Institution. \nWang has also garnered top honors at numerous competitions including the Meadows Concerto Competition at SMU\, the Artist Recognition Scholarship Awards Competition at NYC’s International Keyboard Institute & Festival\, the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy Competition in Japan\, and the IX International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz in Ukraine\, among other important venues worldwide. \nRecently awarded the Performer’s diploma under the tutelage of the eminent pianist Alessio Bax at Southern Methodist University in Dallas\, Wang currently lives in New York and is pursuing an undergraduate degree at The Juilliard School as a student of Dr. Robert McDonald. \nAdvance ticket purchase with pre-event registration is recommended.
