DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nJoin Members at the Contemporaries Circle and above for an exclusive visit to the studio of artist John Torreano located in Sag Harbor. Torreano’s tour precedes his participation in Part II of the Museum’s 125th Anniversary Exhibition\, Artists Choose Parrish\, opening August 20\, 2023. Torreano joins 11 other renowned artists who will select works from the Parrish collection to be shown along with their own.  \nJohn Torreano (b. 1941\, Michigan) is an American artist\, best known for utilizing faceted gems in a variety of mediums and methods in order to create “movement oriented perception” in his works. He combines realism infused with abstraction to create works that conflate time and space. Come engage in conversation with Torreano and other art enthusiasts as we continue to celebrate the rich artistic legacy of the region. \nRegistration required. Limited space available. Studio location will be provided in the confirmation email sent the day before the event. \nThis event is intended for Members of the Parrish Art Museum at the Contemporaries Circle level and above.
