DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \n$35 Members | $45 Adults | $40 Seniors | $20 Students | $10 Children \nPegasus: the Orchestra returns to the Parrish for an intimate program focused on Rachmaninoff’s and Schubert’s Vocal and Chamber Masterpieces. 2007 Tchaikovsky International Competition Gold Medalist\, Sergey Antonov opens the concert with Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise” arranged for cello and piano\, followed by rising star\, soprano Elisa Sunshine performing two art songs of Rachmaninoff. The first half closes with Rachmaninoff’s powerful Trio Elegiaque No.1. \nThe second half opens with soprano Elisa Sunshine performing five selections from Schubert’s lieder arranged by Karén Hakobyan for Piano and String Quartet finishing the set with Schubert’s famous lieder “Die Forelle” (“The Trout”). Schubert used “The Trout” lieder as the basis of set of variations of the 4th movement of his Piano Quintet\, which hence earned its nickname “The Trout”. DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \n$35 Members | $45 Adults | $40 Seniors | $20 Students | $10 Children \nSalon Series continues the spring season with an intimate performance by the Borisevich Duo\, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Margarita Loukachkina and violinist Nikita Borisevich. Borisevich and Loukachkina are winners of numerous international music competitions and have collectively performed on world renown stages such as The Kennedy Center (Washington\, DC)\, Mozarteum University Salzburg (Salzburg\, Austria)\, Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory (Moscow\, Russia)\, Shriver Hall (Baltimore\, Maryland)\, California Institute of Technology (Pasadena\, CA)\, JCC Greater Washington (Rockville\, MD) and Manuel de Falla Auditorium (Granada\, Spain)\, among others. \nMost recently Borisevich and Loukachkina made their debut at the Venetian Arts Society in Florida\, the Chamber Music Society of Maryland\, and gave performances in Metz\, France and Luxembourg. The Borisevich Duo was named a winner of the Beverly Hills National Auditions\, in addition to making their debut at the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago (IL)\, the Alden Theatre in McLean (VA)\, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (NY)\, the Gualala Chamber Music Society in Gualala (CA)\, the Tuesday Concert Series in Washington\, DC and the Evensong Concert Series in Silver Spring (MD). In addition to an active performing career\, Borisevich is a dedicated educator and professor of Chamber music at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore\, Maryland. Born in Verona\, Italy to a family of pianists\, the dynamic brother-and-sister duo have toured internationally performing with a captivating configuration of four hands at the piano. \nAs a soloist\, Jacopo Giacopuzzi has performed recitals at major venues and concert halls throughout the United States\, Europe\, and Japan\, winning 14 international competitions\, including the International Piano Competition San Dona`di Piave\, Ibiza International Piano Competition\, International Liszt Competition in Los Angeles\, and the Beverly Hills National Auditions. Jacopo holds graduate degrees in Piano Performance under the guidance of Virginio Pavarana\, a Master’s in Sound Design with Mauro Graziani at the Conservatory of Verona\, a Diploma at the International Piano Academy of Imola Incontri col Maestro with Leonid Margarius\, and a graduate degree in Piano Performance at the University of Southern California. \nMaddalena Giacopuzzi has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Arena in Verona\, Orchestra Monteverdi of Bozen\, the Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bozen\, the Orchestra Verdi of Milan\, the Orchestra of Sanremo\, Orquestra Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico under the baton of Berislav Sipus\, Emir Saul\, Stephen Lloyd\, Carlo Tenan\, Giancarlo de Lorenzo and Gabriela Diaz Alatriste. Beginning studies in piano at the age of 5 years\, Maddalena Giacopuzzi has completed multiple degrees and diplomas\, including diploma at the Conservatory “E. F. Dall’Abaco” in Verona\, an Artist Diploma at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome\, and a master’s degree at Conservatorio “C. Monteverdi” in Bolzano. Maddalena was named Fellow of the prestigious 2017 Music Academy Of The West in Santa Barbara\, California\, having the opportunity to perform\, work\, and collaborate with Guest Artists like Jeremy Denk\, Jerome Lowenthal\, Conor Hanick\, Robert Mc Donald\, Stephen Hough. \nSalon Series is generously supported by Louis K. and Susan P.
