SUMMARY:Educators Workshop with Lonnie Holley
DESCRIPTION:Workshop for regional educators and teaching artists co-presented with NYSATA.  \nFREE \nMeet the artist and create sculpture with wire and other found materials. \nLonnie Holley was an artist in residence at the Elaine de Kooning House in East Hampton in the Fall of 2020\, and his work is currently on view at the Parrish Art Museum. During the 5-week residency\, Holley created over 100 works\, including sculpture made largely from material found on the property. Born in Alabama in 1950\, Holley became a visionary artist and musician\, filling a 1-acre Birmingham property with sculpture constructed from found objects.
