She is an Assistant Professor in the English and Humanities departments of Suffolk County Community College\, works as a private writing instructor and editor\, and leads local classes on writing and literature. Her work has appeared numerous publications\, and her short story “Prison Visit” was nominated for a 2014 Pushcart Prize.
