DESCRIPTION:Discover the Parrish with a guided tour from a Museum Docent. Docent-led tours offer visitors a focused insight to the Museum and exhibitions on view. Tours are approximately 40 minutes. \nFree with museum admission. Drop-in program. Space is limit to a maximum of 20 visitors per docent. SUMMARY:2024 Parrish Road Show Opening Reception | Andrea Cote
DESCRIPTION:*Event at capacity. Registration is closed.*\nFor the 2024 Parrish Road Show\, the Parrish Art Museum has invited Andrea Cote to create a site-specific exhibition at Bridge Gardens in Bridgehampton. Now in its thirteenth year\, Parrish Road Show is the Museum’s off-site project designed to encourage engagement and interaction between artists and the communities beyond the Museum’s walls. To Belong to the World will be an outdoor installation composed of uniquely printed fabric and bamboo structures that complement and highlight the Garden’s landscape. The work continues Cote’s exploration of her connection with the environment through daily exposed cyanotypes reflecting the sun\, cosmos\, and body. \nAn opening reception will be held on Saturday\, September 14\, 2024 at 2 PM at Bridge Gardens. Andrea Cote\, along with Parrish Associate Curator and Publications Manager Kaitlin Halloran will introduce the exhibition with brief remarks. Light refreshments will be served. \nPlease note: Parking at Bridge Gardens is limited.
