Reception for Parrish Road Show, Tucker Marder: Stampede

Tucker Marder (American, born 1989) and Dan Allende (American, born 1988) Stampede, 2015. Ditigal sketch, Dimensions variable

Parrish Road Show is a creative summer series featuring temporary projects by East End artists in unexpected places outside the walls of the Museum.

The opening reception of Tucker Marder's Stampede is now FULLY BOOKED. Please consider attending the related programs listed below.

Playfully inventive, Tucker Marder has worked in theater, puppetry, installation, and underwater performance with themes ranging from animal and human behavior to anthropomorphic trees. For Stampede, the artist choreographs an inter-species dance with over 100 Crested Indian Runner ducks that interact with geometric, human-powered puppets. This curious tango encompasses the artist's thoughts on regional land use and historic trades like Long Island duck farming.

This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged.
