Reception for Parrish Road Show, Toni Ross: Permanent Transience

Toni Ross Permanent Transience (detail), 2016. Site-specific installation at Marders, Bridgehampton.

Parrish Road Show is a creative summer series featuring temporary projects by East End artists in unexpected places outside the walls of the Museum.

Toni Ross is intrigued by the intersection of diverse objects and materials, especially those that defy logic. These concepts are often represented by fine threads that bind powerful, weighty forms.

In Permanent Transience, the artist creates a juxtaposition of materials through an installation of sculpted straw bales that intersect and envelop three massive on-site boulders.

This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged

Parrish Road Show is made possible, in part, by the generous support of Jane Wesman and Donald Savelson, Sandy and Stephen Perlbinder, and Jacqueline Brody. Hamptons Art Hub is the digital media sponsor; Hamptons Magazine is the media sponsor.
