Jazz en Plein Air: Nilson Matta

2009 Grammy nominee, Nilson Matta, a creative force in the evolution and popularity of Brazilian Jazz in the United States joins the Jazz en Plein Air roster on Friday, June 27. This popular series brings many talented jazz musicians to the Parrish, selected by the East End's legendary Richie Siegler, jazz musician and founding director of Escola de Samba BOOM. 

The Golden Pear Café at the Parrish will offer Happy Hour specials prior from 5-8 pm, featuring the ever popular Brazilian drink Caipirinha, made with LEBLON Cachaca, fresh lime, and touch of sugar, as well as Wolffer Rosé and Corona Beer.The grill will also be fired up with Churrasco (Brazilian BBQ) of beef, chicken and pork, served with coleslaw, potato salad and corn bread ($15.00 per entree). $10 Burgers and $5 Hot Dogs will also be available for purchase.

So come socialize and soak in the scenery while enjoying the cool tunes.

Seating on the terrace is limited and first come first served, and tables and chairs are reserved for café customers. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the live music from the terrace and the events lawn.
