Sounds of Summer: Edith and Bennett

Sounds of Summer provides a full season of al fresco music from the Parrish's covered terrace. Bring a lawn chair for the terrace or blanket for the grass and soak in the lively tunes.

All Sounds of Summer concerts are free with Museum admission and take place rain or shine.

Edith and Bennett return after kicking off The Lounge with a stellar sold-out performance. Edith Gawler and Bennett Konesni are musicians and worksong scholars who together play old-time fiddle, banjo music, Swedish dance tunes, and farmer’s ballads and hollers. Edith grew up in Maine as a member of the legendary Gawler Family Band, and Bennett is co-founder of Sylvester Manor, a 243-acre educational farm on Shelter Island, NY on a piece of land that has been in his family since 1652.
