Back by popular demand, Salon Series offers 60-75 minute concerts by award-winning young musicians from around the globe. Four Fridays of concerts designed to excite and introduce Classical repertoire have been co-programmed with Concert Artists Guild, Pro Musicis, and Yamaha Artist Services, Inc., organizations that nurture and promote the world's finest concert musicians.
April 4 Assaff Weissman
April 11 Daria Rabotkina
April 18 Tanya Gabrielian
April 25 Ching-Yun Hu
Winner of the 2007 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, Daria Rabotkina has been called "...a pianist full of fire and warmth" (The Plain-Dealer). Her burgeoning career has already led to solo appearances with the San Francisco and New World Symphonies under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas, and with the Kirov Orchestra and Valery Gergiev in a four concert North American tour. Whether in front of an orchestra, in the recital hall or in a chamber music setting, Rabotkina impresses audiences and critics alike with her "clearly prodigious musical gifts" (The Washington Post).
The Friday, April 11 Program Includes:
Flow My Tears (John Dowland, 1563-1626)
Selections from Ordre 18eme de Clavecin in F Major (Francois Couperin, 1668-1733)
